The promise of the holy spirit

Lord Jesus Christ, I do believe your message when you said:

''If you love me, you will obey my commandments. I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Helper, who will stay with you for ever. He is the Spirit who reveals the truth about God. The world cannot receive him, because it cannot see him or know him. But you know him, because he remains with you and is in you. When I go, you will not be left all alone; I will come back to you", John14:15-17.

Lord Almighty give me the Helper, to be with me for ever
I pray now for the Holy Spirit to protect me from evil
Although I cannot see the Holy Spirit, Lord, I know that He is with me
I am willing to receive Him, and know Him, although I cannot see Him
I take comfort in your assurance that You will not leave me alone

I thank you for this bright sunny day, the last Sunday and day in April 2006!

With your blessings of good health and well-being, I have been able to

• talk to some of my sister's children in Zimbabwe - Dennis and Dadirai Chigumbu
• clear my parking bay of weeds
• tidy-up the house

I pray this hour for the people of

• Zimbabwe, who are finding it very difficult to get food, fuel, jobs, homes, everything!
• Darfur region of Sudan who are starving and had their homes burnt down

Prince Harry's AIDS Charity

I think Prince Harry's AIDS charity in Lesotho is something that needs support from all quarters in the developed world.

Prince Harry has convinced me that he does have a sincere interest in helping the poor.

He has charismatic traits like his late mother, the popular Diana, the Princess of Wales e.g. the affectionate smile, simplicity, humility, being down to earth, being warm and friendly, empathetic and action-orientated.

I was impressed when he briefly addressed the locals fluently in their language, wielded a hoe and tilled the land and later leaped forward to donate what looked like cash.

I would urge the media to treat Prince Harry with respect and recognise the fact that he is a young man and will occasionally make mistakes like all young people.

I wish to express my thanks to Prince Harry for launching his AIDS Charity called Forget Me Not.

Well done Prince Harry.

I wish to thank God

I had a a big problem this morning. I did not know how I was going to solve it. I prayed then read one of my favourite hymns.

I felt that I needed to post on my blog my favourite hymns of the British Methodist which I used to sing back home in Zimbabwe. God works in mysterious ways. As I was working on the blog, help came from a stranger and I managed to sort out things. I thank God for blessing me the way He did and always does.

I tend to belive that, for one to seriously believe in God and communicate with him through prayers, one may have to go through a difficult time in life first. That will enable you to tell the difference, before and after.

I did not know how I was going to succeed without God's intervention in many things. I ma happy that I have achieved them. For that I praise God, his Son Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit.

May His name be praised at all times.
